Waterville Public Library, BB Observatory, 206 White St., Waterville, NY, 13480:
In New Hartford, NY (from routes 5 and 12, or Genesee St), take Route 12 South toward Binghamton. Follow Route 12 S to Waterville (approximately 12.9 miles or 16 minutes). At the first traffic light in Waterville, go straight for one block (you will pass the police station on your right). Turn right onto White Street. The library will be on your left in that block. Park in the ample parking lot. The Barton-Brown Observatory is behind the library building. (map)

Sherrill Brook Park, Route 12 S, New Hartford, NY, 13413:
In New Hartford (from routes 5 and 12, or Genesee St), take Route 12 South toward Binghamton. Sherrill Brook Park will be a little over one mile from Utica National Insurance Company on Route 12 S. Make a right turn into the park. At the T-intersection, turn left and then park in the first parking lot on your right. The basketball court will be on the far side of the parking lot.

Trenton Town Park, Fish Hatchery Rd, Barneveld, NY 13435:
From Utica: Take Route 12 North. After driving through Mapledale and under the RR overpass, exit left toward Barneveld onto Mappa Ave. Continue on Mappa Ave through the town of Barneveld. The road becomes Rte 365 and makes a curve to the right. Turn left onto Fish Hatchery Road after the curve. The Trenton Town Park is a short way up on the left.
From Rome: Take Route 365 East. In the town of Barneveld, make a left turn to continue on Route 365. Make the second left turn onto Fish Hatchery Road. The Trenton Town Park is a short way up on the left.

Glimmerglass State Park,1527 County Highway 31, Cooperstown, NY:
Take Route 5S east to Mohawk, NY. Turn right onto Route 28 south, continue to Richfield Springs. Turn left onto Route 20 east, continue to East Springfield. Turn right onto County Route 31 south, continue to the park entrance on your right.

Baron von Steuben Memorial Park located on Starr Hill Rd. in Steuben, NY about 2.4 miles west of Route 12/28, north of Utica. Take NY-12 North ~ 15 miles. Turn left onto County Rd 53/Starr Hill Rd (where the old O.K. Corral use to be. One would turn right onto Steuben Rd at the same intersection to go to the village of Remsen) Continue to follow Starr Hill Rd, which turns into County Rt. 57/Starr Hill Rd for 2.4 miles.  The park will be on your right.

Kirkland Town Park, off Post Street, CR 17, Franklin Springs, NY:
Take Route 12B through the village of Clinton, NY. Go past McDonald's, Tops Market, Nice 'N Easy, Franklin St, and Grant Road, all on your left. The road will make a “Y”, with Route 12B curving to the right. Take the left branch of the “Y”, which is Post Street and County Route 17. The entrance to Kirkland Town Park will be on your left a little ways after you pass Sawyer Road on your right. If you miss the “Y”, turn around at the Franklin Springs Post Office on Route 12 B.

Russell Park, Ilion, NY:
Take route 5S to Ilion. If coming from the west (Utica area) on 5S, take the first Ilion exit. Turn right (east) off the exit ramp onto Main Street. Continue straight until you can see McDonald's. Turn right onto Otsego Street before McDonald's. After a ways, make a left turn onto Phillip Street, cross the little bridge and watch for the sign and a right turn to Russell Park. Go to the top of the hill. The fenced in soccer field will be on your right.

Lee Town Park, Lee, NY:
In Rome, NY, take Route 26 North off Black River Blvd. While in the city, this road is called Turin Street. The name changes to Turin Road when it gets outside the city. You will pass Potter Road on your right where the Beeches Restaurant and Motel are located. Stay on Route 26, Turin Road. You will pass Elmer Hill Rd on your right. Later you will pass Pleasant Drive and Martin Drive also on your right. The Lee Town Park will follow immediately on your left. Park in the lower parking lot on your right.

Lake Delta State Park, Rome, NY:
In Rome, NY, take Route 46 North. The park will be on your left several miles outside the city limits. The lake will be visible before you reach the park entrance.

Griffiss Park, Rome, NY:
Take Route 49 toward Rome. Exit to Route 825 (Griffiss Park / the old Skyline Gate). When getting off the exit, continue straight. DO NOT bear to the right to East Dominick Street. Drive through the park until you see the B52 bomber on your right. Turn right onto Perimeter Road at the B52. Park on the asphalt tarmac (the old runway extension) on the left side of the road opposite the entrance to the ballpark (DeLutus Field).

Camp High Hopes, Brantingham Lake, NY:
From Utica - take Route 12 north to 3 miles north of Lyons Falls. Turn right onto Burdick's Crossing Road (at the drive-in theater on the right). Go to the end of the road and turn left onto Greig Road. Drive about one-half mile to Brantingham Road and turn right. Continue on Brantingham Road approximately 4 miles to Camp Aldersgate. The camp will be on your left. Drive straight into the camp and look for the soccer field and a very small church building on the right.
